Celebrate the end of New Zealand Music Month CHART-style!
We've worked with the Christchurch Music Industry Trust (CHART) for a good while now, helping them fight the good fight not just for New Zealand music but also to specifically highlight all the amazing things going on in the Christchurch music scene.
So NZ Music month is coming to an end and we've designed the latest Chart Disc - this time a 12 track sampler of Downbeat/ Chill sounds from Grid City's best - and you'll see our Chartfest posters on the good streets of Chi-City.
Grab a CD if you can - they've gone for now but are about to get a reprint thanks to Cosmic Corner - and don't foget to grab a ticket for Chartfest. It's cheap as chips, $17.50 for us adult type folk, $10 for you young schoolies, and the line up features Flying Nun luminaries The Verlaines, the funky as Electric Wire Hustle, pop punkers Clap Clap Riot and The Transistors, dusty alt country goodness from The Eastern (a fave of mine but of course)...
But my number one priority has to be seeing the explosive Die! Die! Die! who always put their lives on the line every show. Check the video from Camp Low Hum and pack a pair of earplugs.
