Yes, I Love TechnologyYes, I Love Technology

Like Kip I love technology, and because of this I love reading Wired Magazine almost as much as I love Apple products. That's a whole lotta love. Which makes today a double whammy.

Last night I was reading about U2 and Youtube's plan to broadcast a full live concert across 16 countries, including NZ. Add an integrated Youtube and Twitter app so fans can tweet as the show happens, which it what we'd call a nice example of "synergy", and this thing is sounding 2.0-social-tech-tastic!

Despite what Pitchfork may think I'm going to go out on a limb and say "No Line On The Horizon" was not a terrible album and even though Bono may weigh more than 80 courics these days I'm more than curious to see how it all goes down... and how the server copes with the expected many millions tuning in. The show will be webcast starting at 8:30 p.m. PST Sunday in the US. Thanks to Wired.

Oh, and not to be a fanboy or anything but the mighty Apple have released a pretty saucy looking touch-tastic new "Magic Mouse". What this means is that designers all over the globe are not actually working this morning, rather watching the spiffy demo video over and over and arguing amongst themselves of it's merits and what they would have done differently if they could have designed it... our verdict is to come but I've filled out a requisition request and forwarded it to accounts and it's official - buttons are so 2008!

This Magic Mouse supercedes their Mighty Mouse - I think I see a pattern forming. And speaking of Mighty Mouse... a small diversion from the one and only Andy Kaufman...
