deflux-design-trade-aid

We love working with Trade Aid, simple as that. Over the year's we've worked a lot on the packaging, and it's been particularly satisfying in recent times to see the new look and feel for Trade Aid's fantastic range of products evolve. Recently there's been a bit happening as Trade Aid have moved to repackage their coffee and launch a baby range, and it's all hitting shelves now.

new-zealand-riesling-challenge-deflux-design

Another Friday comes (and is rapidly going) and the world of Deflux is tremendously busy. But we've launched another site - with a couple more on the way - and as such we decided to treat ourselves with a Crafternoon, kicking off with Ralph's Three Boys Aftershock. If you want a taste you'll have to be quick as bottles are disappearing off the shelves at pace by all accounts, and there's only a keg (or two) in existence - come on Pomeroys, hook it up!

Introducing Stephen....

Deflux are a tight-knit community, which is a way of saying we don't hire or fire too often. So it's a big day in Deflux history when we can announce a new staff member.... Stephen Dalley.

Stephen brings with him a wealth of experience; some great iTunes; an encyclopedic knowledge of funny books; a dictionary that's bigger than mine; some fascinating ideas, and finally a passion for creative advertising. Plus he dresses quite well which should bring up the overall "style factor" in the office.

Launching a website is a great feeling, and none more so in recent times than the 50 Degrees South Trust Website. As a design partner and sponsor, this site has been a true labour of love and we couldn't be happier to see it live...

It may be a bit almost an hour, but if you're interested in copyright and what it means today, then Cory Doctorow can always be relied on to promote a very interesting and progressive point of view.

Friday Fun - Youtube Tipp-Ex - What Happens to the BEAR!?

deflux-design-save-the-bear

A very clever Youtube campaign from Tipp-Ex where you can white and rewrite what happens to the bear... I'll leave the rest to you (and yes, you can do that whatever your that is, well mostly)... reminds me of those old pick-a-path novels and possibly inspired by the Nintendo game Scribblenauts but so "2.oh"...

Check it out HERE!

The Earthquake and Deflux

deflux-design-all-shook-up

First off, thanks to everyone for their messages of support and concern and we want to send the love right back to all of friends and family, all of the local businesses we support, and for what it's worth wider Christchurch - it's hard to explain what's happened beyond photos and I think whilst the physical damage is bad it's the uncertainty that's been worse... these aftershocks are fraying nerves!

The Arcade Fire, HTML5 the evolution of Music Videos

deflux-design-arcade-fire-the-suburbs

You need a capable browser for sure (Internet Explor DIAF!) so grab Chrome or Firefox 3, and a good broadband connection will help (John Key's on that one, have no fear) but Arcade Fire's new online music video collab with Google and director Chris Milk is AMAZING and worth a few browser crashes along the way.
