Impress Barista Tools supply the best cafes in the land with hand assembled tampers in rimu and jarrah, dump boxes and espresso shampoo. All lovingly made right here in New Zealand, Deflux worked with Impress to get their packaging just right - they may be functional items, but it doesn't mean that they cannot be as packaged as well as they are made. The result is some quirky vector based illustrations and a touch of copy that jumps off the shelf. You know by now that we love our coffee, and our Impress tamper gets as much work as our keyboards some days...

Chocolate Bomb's label was a little tired when we were asked to make a huge sacrifice and spend the week drinking mocha's instead of the usual long blacks to come up with a fresh look for this tasty chocolate syrup. Perhaps it's the name, perhaps it's our love of Memphis Belle, but we decided on a 1940s style aircraft pin-up direction and the illustrations began. Some research into Vargas, Elvgren and WWII Pinups led to a few variations, working to the final on a nice bullet-riddled metal panel background.

C4 Coffee are a Christchurch caffeine institution. Deflux were approached when C4 were looking at repositioning their brand and we've been with them ever since, designing logos like Coffee HQ for their new premises and their coffee blends, retail packaging, cars, coffee cups, sugar sticks, retail and point of sale signage, adverts, t-shirts and merch, boxes, sellotape - you name it!

Some brands, like people, just have a huge personality. When Henk approached us about taking Farm Smokehouse, relocating it and adding a restaurant to his successful smoked salmon business, Holy Smoke was born. A huge fitout and restoration of the classic premises ensued, whilst we explored and developed the brand down to the very smallest of details especially in print - the right recycled stock choice, the right black, the right die form - based on his iconic Woolston premises.

Armitage Williams are a construction company with a long and distinguished history, especially in Christchurch. We worked with them through their rebranding process, to deliver a logo that reinvigorated the brand for today's market with subtle typography tweaks and an updated colour scheme without throwing away their wealth of history.

Trade Aid's story is amazing, centred around 2 New Zealander's making a world of difference. We've worked with Trade Aid now for many years and it's always great to be involved with everything they do in their mission to bring about trade justice through activism, education, and fair trade. Deflux have designed a large range of promotional materials, instore point of sale and signage, adverts, annual reports and have been heavily involved in the design of packaging for their huge range of goods - and particularly coffee, tea, soap and spices.

We've worked with Kaikoura's Hapuku Lodge for many years, and one of the joys has been seeing them build their now world famous Tree House accommodation and the hugely positive reaction from media, industry and guests. Along the way we've built a lot of things too - seamlessly mixing both online and print. Print has been produced with a focus on eco stocks where possible, and has included corporate collateral, media kits, adverts, and a host of promotional material and marketing collateral including direct mail, and mini brochures.

Infiniti is a global financial operation that has partnered with the likes of Barclays, Shinko, and the Royal Bank Of Scotland to offer innovative fund management services. Deflux worked with Infiniti to develop their strong brand presence, sleek black with Swiss references, and deployed this across a wealth of print material, often in multiple language sets.

When Exclusive Events wanted to wow a recent trade show we sat down and dreamed up their latest company profile. We've worked with EE for many years and with the website taking care of the ever changing communication we wanted the print piece to be special, something to stand out, yet compliment their existing corporate collateral.
